Question crank but no start

ok guys here my problem. maybe someone can help me out. i have a 2005 cavalier ls sport ecotec 5 speed. about a week ago my car shut off on me while i was driving and wouldnt start. i had no fuel pressure. thing is i can hear the pump priming but once i crank it a few times there is no pressure. so my first thought was fuel pump went bad. well today i put a new racetronix 255lph fuel pump. tested pump and it flows fuel also put a new fuel filter since i was putting the new pump. car is still doing the same thing it will prime the pump. but once i crank it it wont start. im starting to think the crank sensor is bad. any ideas? any help will be greatly appreciated.

NO CEL at all. it just died and that was it. i had it running this morning and it did the same thing. died and no fuel pressure. so i changed out to the new fuel pump and filter,,,let it prime and i had fuel pressure but as soon as i crank the motor i lose all fuel pressure. so i have no idea. father in law said it could be the crank sensor. so i thought i would try on here before i did anything more

the ecm will stop fp operation after 2 seconds if no ignition reference pulses are detected. Check your f/p inj fuse first; then check for crank signal.

i would say it is the fuel pressure regulator! i had a 04 that did the same thing. change it and all was good! just get ready..... I paid nearly 70$ for mine at the parts house. gm wanted over a hundred. go figure!

WOW do i feel DUMB! lol I check the Fuel Regulator and cleaned it. then i checked the F/P INJ Fuse like tech2 said. well come to find out the damn fuse wasnt blown but had come loose from the connection. just my luck! so now i have a new racetronix 255lph fuel pump in the car and all the while it was just a loose connector! lmao. oh well was gonna need a new pump soon anyways. old one was about on its last leg. im just glad i got it fixed. cuz these past few days of driving my Dodge 2500 Diesel 90 Miles round trip to work was kicking my ass! lol. i do appreciate all the imput you guys gave me. and Tech 2 thanks for mentioning the fuse to me cuz i didnt even know it had one! lol
