Default Floormat problems

I just registered on the forums. My floor mats drive me insane! They slide up under my pedals. Anyone else have this problem and do you guys have any fixes for it?

Yes, no. I hope somebody does.

Toyota is blaming a seriesof fatal accidents to improperly installed floor mats.

mine do the same thing, takes while for them to slid up but they do it evently it drives me up the walls, i cant stand it, but my moms 06 civic has these little loops under the seat that the floormat has a little ring like hole in it to hold the mat down, you could prob rig something up

You can buy floor matt clips usually from the autoparts store. They're universal and they hook into the carpet and clip onto the back of the matt. Mine do it too, but I found some nice aftermarket matts that fit nice and they don't slide much. The factory matts usually slide when you get in and out of the car, not so much while driving.

New floormats possibly? Usually cavaliers are real good with their mats unless you're missing all those fun rubber grippers on the bottom of the mat to hold it in place, if that's the case, go with some new ones. Or you could just screw them down like ScottieAlan suggests.

don't screw ur floormats down, either do as yoda said and try to clip it to the underside of the seat, or just get some real heavy duty rubber mats.

I don't think he meant screw the floor mat itself down, but the clip to hook it to. That's how I took it.
