Default my passenger side door will not open

I have a 02 cav 2 door and my passenger side door will not open...The lock is stuck in the locked position...The other issue is that the key lock on the exterior has been missing for some time now...So basically I have a hole where the key lock used to be...How do I fix this issue? I'm pretty sure there is no way to get the door panel off with the door being closed...

You're going to have to work through that hole on the outside. Locate the rod that usually attaches to the lock. Try to get it to unlock. Locate the rod from the outside doorhandle, try to open the door. Look in to see if something is binding. If you can get the door open, you're going to need to remove the door panel and find out what happened. I have seen on these cars where the window glass would lower and get snagged on the two rods from the interior handle linkage and bend it or get stuck on it, causing everything to stop working all together.

I have been trying to work through the hole on the outside...The two rods are easy to get to but all they do is make the door handle go up and down...Anyone know where the locking mechanism is?

One of the rods is to the lock. The other is to the latch. If it's locked, the latch rod is disingaged.

Get it unlocked, yank the rod to the latch, open door. Let the window down and try to see the latch to make sure everything is even hooked up.
