Unhappy Headlight Conversion 02 cavy

so heres the deal
im shawn
im 19
i got a 2002 cavy 2.2
i want my first car to be my project car to see what i am capable of doing
so
with that done and said
i want to do a 95-99 headlight conversion on my car

the reason behind this is
i am looking at a body kit for the 95-02 models and it says
NOTE: On 00-02 models, you will need 95-99 headlights

so, i got me some
i started disassembling my headlights and tried to pop the sockets in
but low and behold, they don't fit
so knowing me, i am going to get down to the wire and wire shit up to where it runs right :]
so i ran to the local junkyard, got some 95-99 sockets and this time they fit
so now i have a whole bunch of wires that i need to wire

after 9 blown fuses and about 3 days of work
i got the halos, LED's, headlights (low beams, high beams, and DRL), and parking going

now im stuck at the pain in the ass turn signal

i cannot find out how to wire it
on the socket
there is a blue wire and brown wire
and on the car there is a blue wire, brown wire and black wire

i tried everything prossible
i did:

blue --> blue and black
brown --> brown

blue --> blue
brown --> brown
black --> capped off

everytime i THINK i have it wired right, its not correct
- the blinker doesn't work if the parking lights aren't on
- EVERY light in the car pulses to the blinker when i have it wired up
(headlights, taillights, license plate light, interior light, gauges)
- the blinker slows down when i use it

*i DID replace a few 20 amp fuses with 30 amp fuses because the 20's kept blowing when i used the high beams or flipped on the headlights*

please help

best regards
shawn :]

have you checked out a chiltons book? in mine they have all the wiring scematics and everything, if im not mistaken they even have the turn signals and everythin along with the color of wires. best investment ive made. and ive been looking into getting 99 projectors and hooking them up in my 00 cavalier. how easy was the wiring harness conversion?

ive figured it all out
:]

parking = halo's and led's
headlights = projector
high beams = inner lamp
turn signal = side marker

keep the sockets...... you just have to open up the hole with a dremel.... unless i did it the ghetto way haha but still

gimme some time to take some pics and write up a diagram and stuff and send you on your way

yea i would love to see pics of it, been looking at them for a while but dont got money for them but wanna see them on a 00-02 cavalier. another question is did you convert the fenders to the 99? i heard someone had to get 99 to make the halo projectors to fit right

ok, sorry for the delay guys

just been busy at work O_o
anyways

here is what you need for the conversion
bumper - front ....... 95-02 or 95-99..... it will not work on a 2000-2002 bumper because you'll have a big ass gap at the bottom of the light if you try it .... i learned my lesson on that one....... lemme see if i still got the pic

ok there you go

anyways
as for the sockets
snip some off of a 95-99 .... you need the headlight ones

TURN BULB..... this is an important one.......
you can go to autozone and get this red one that BARELY fits the socket, but it works........ cause the white one is uglier than shit on these lights and the cops bitch about not having "amber" ones.... so red is close to amber
or you can just buy and amber or blue one..... your call

so all in all
to get it to fit, you need
95-99 front bumper
95-99 headlight sockets
2000-2002 turn signal sockets

and you go from there

but anyways

her are all the things you need to know about the car and lights

car headlight wires
blue
orange
prink ..... [Pink on other side of car is blue.... stupid ass chevy]

car turn signal wires
black
brown
blue

projector light wires
red
black

projector halo wires
red
black

high beam wires
orange
blue

high beam halo wires
red
black

turn signal wires
blue
brown
black

LED wires
white
black

the setup is like this

i am redrawing the diagram and uploading vid as we speak
